Ten Ways to Praise the Lord

Some of the best advice I ever received, was from an old gentleman who told me the best way to fight evil is to praise God. He said, "You know, Scripture tells us that God inhabits the praise of His people. (Psalm 22:3) So, don’t complain when things go wrong or the people you love disappoint you. To bring God into any situation immediately, just begin to praise the Lord."

St. Paul does say that the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. But weapons that have have divine power and are capable of pulling down fortresses. (2 Cor 10:4) So, next time trouble pops into your life, try praying these 10 prayers of praise. Then you too, may find yourself singing, "I called to the Lord with my mouth; praise was upon my tongue. God heard and listened to my voice in prayer." ~ Psalm 66

1. We praise you, Lord for you answer prayer.

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. ~Isaiah 65:24

2. We praise you, Lord for you are Faithful.

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reaches to the clouds.~Psalm 36:5

3. We praise you, Lord for you are our Healer.

I am the LORD that healeth thee. ~Exodus 15:26

4. We praise you, Lord for you are our Comforter

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort. ~2 Corinthians 1:3

5. We praise you, Lord for you are Merciful

Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God. ~Nehemiah 9:31

6. We praise you, Lord for you are our Refuge

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. ~Psalm 62:7

7. We praise you, Lord for you are Forgiving

but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not. ~Nehemiah 9:17

8. We praise you, Lord for you are Love

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. ~1 John 4:16

9. We praise you, Lord for you are A God of Miracles

Thou art the God that does wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. ~Psalm 77:14

10. We praise you, Lord for you are a God of Peace

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. ~Romans 14:17, 16:20 ♥
