++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

Welcome to all who are joining us for the first time. I'm trying to write this myself this week!  Please excuse any typos due to my one-handed typing!

I continue to progress in the healing of my arm.  I have some problems with medication from time to time, but today all is pretty good. This won't be a long message, but it is a heartfelt one of thanksgiving for your prayers and get-well messages==how kind of you all to take the time tp do and say such nice things.  please continue to keep me in prayer, as I often find myself in great need of them lately.  However, let us all first pray for those victims of the hurricane--may He hold them, and each of the members of this prayer group, in His arms.

In spite of my medication problems and my arm in a sling, I am thrilled to report that our meeting with our new archbishop, Archbishop Nauuman, was a beautiful 45 minutes.  When he met us in his office he was holding the Marian Mantle document, including the letters from many of you.  As Archbishop Keleher had done previously, he sent his good wishes to all.  He confirmed that within the pastoral needs of the Church there is a need for our efforts.  Bob and I shared with him some of the moments with you and the comments from you. He said he was pleased that we have called upon Our Lady of Sorrows. At the close of the meeting we prayed a Hail Mary together after which he prayed for continued success of this little lay ministry of which you are all such an important part!  He was very gracious to this farmer's daughter.  I continue to believe that I just could be proof that God sometimes really does use the foolish (me) just to show us all that He is able to bring good out of any circumstance.

Meanwhile, may God give you the Grace to pray with the perseverance of St. Monica and the unconditional love of the father of the Prodigal Son.

     May God bless all of us and grant us His Peace.

Peace,

MaryAnn

GOD'S WORD FOR US

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `What shall we wear?'  For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.  "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day.  ~Matthew 6: 31 - 34

WORDS OF HOPE

When our hands have touched spices, they give fragrance to all they handle. Let us make our prayers pass through the hands of the Blessed Virgin. She will make them fragrant.

-- St. John Vianney
