++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

We continue to hear news from you of prodigals returning to the Faith or of changes taking place which indicate a softening of attitudes.  Never doubt that God is working in your situation.  DO NOT CEASE PRAYING for those prodigals you love so much!  Remember St. Monica and persevere!

We are beginning a new project here at Marian Mantle.  So many of you have requested we make a CD with the prayers of the rosary novena that it seems to be the leading of God.  We are blessed with several who have volunteered to participate in the singing, reading, and instrumental accompaniment.  However, we  know little about professional recording or sound mixing, nor do we have the funds to hire professionals. So, we intend to approach this as we have approached everything up to this point—place it in God’s hands and ask Him, if it be His will, to send what and who we need to accomplish the work.  This is where you come in.  Please join us in praying that the necessary doors will be opened to get this done.  I ask all prayer groups to place this request with the others.  Jesus, I trust in You.

Speaking dates recently added to the Marian Mantle calendar are:  July 10, Marian Associates in Independence, Mo;  September 25, Holy Cross Church in Hutchinson, KS; and March 11, LaCrosse, WI.   For more information contact me by phone or email.

Work continues on the newsletter which will be mailed around July 15.  I remind you to send your postal mailing address if you wish to receive a copy.  There is no cost.  (Note:  the newsletter is a different publication than this email update [The Mantle].  It is published twice a year and contains different information than is received online)

Those who have sent stamps or money for postage, if you have not received an email receipt from me, please let me know.  Marian Mantle is a not-for-profit organization registered with the State of Kansas so such contributions are tax deductible.

Let us continue to pray together and invite others to join us in prayer for the return of our children to the practice of the Catholic faith.  God will keep His promises! Trust!

May you have a wonderful holiday ahead—and may every day be a holy day!

May God bless all of us and grant us His Peace.

Peace,

MaryAnn

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear MaryAnn,

(Comments from a prayer group coordinator.  The second paragraph is referring to a young man whose parents are rejoicing because he just came back to the church)

I had breakfast with my cousin and my neighbors after Mass and she mentioned that one of our group asked her when she was going to come back to our Prayer Group.  I never mentioned it because I knew she was working at two jobs and really tired but she told me over breakfast that this was her last day on the second job and she would be back.  Hey--I like this! Now our people are looking out for each other and letting them know they're missed when they're not there.  I think this is what Father meant by his homily on Evangelism and looking out for your neighbor

As I was singing in the choir today, I watched as this really good-looking young man came into Mass with his parents, who were the Eucharistic Ministers today, and then received Holy Communion again. That was it---I couldn't get a note out for a few minutes.  I let my feelings get above my voice box and nothing came out but an ton of "Thank You's" to the Lord.

GOD'S WORD FOR US

Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and shield.

Let thy steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in thee.

~Psalm 33

WORDS OF HOPE

The Saints, on Perseverance in Prayer:

Human nature grows tired of always doing the same thing, and it is God's will that this should be because of the opportunity of practicing two great virtues. The first is perseverance, which will bring us to our goal. The other is steadfastness, which overcomes the difficulties on the way.    ~St. Vincent de Paul

Only he will receive, will find, and will enter who perseveres in asking, seeking and knocking.         ~St. Louis de Montfort
