++MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Hi, Everyone,

Today my family celebrates the life and mourns the death of a young man, John U, from the KC area who died yesterday as a result of being a Good Samaritan.  He tried to stop a man who had taken a woman’s purse, ended up being pinned and dragged by the robber’s car.  He leaves his bride of last January who is carrying their baby due to be born in August.  Both of my son’s were friends of his and my youngest son’s office was next door to Jon’s.  Both say if you knew Jon, you weren’t surprised at his helping someone in distress.  Our prayer is that God will bring much good from this terrible tragedy by touching those who are witness to it by reading or hearing about it.  May we all be inspired by his heroism.

Let us pray for all those young adults we love so very much.  May God touch their hearts and open their eyes if necessary so that they may someday know Him in the fullness of the Eucharist.

Today I have an important question that I wish you would take a minute and email your answer to me—just reply to this email.  What value do you find in this online prayer group?  Do you think it is worth my effort to write and send every two weeks, and worth your effort to read it?

Work continues on the newsletter.  I remind you to send your postal mailing address if you wish to receive a copy.  There is no cost.  We are still in need of articles for it.  If you would like to tell us in two or three paragraphs, what value you find in praying together for your prodigals, or if, again in 2 or 3 paragraphs, you would like to tell others about a saint that you ask to intercede for your prodigal’s return, please email it to me for the newsletter.  You can request that your name be withheld.

Let us continue to pray together and invite others to join us in prayer for the return of our children to the practice of the Catholic faith.  God will keep His promises! Trust!

May God bless all of us and grant us His Peace.

Peace,

MaryAnn

PRAYER INTENTIONS

[Prayer intentions submitted to this group are shared only in the semi-weekly email update sent to members of the online prayer group.  Please keep all of us and our prodigals in your prayers--just as we will pray for you.]

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear MaryAnn,

More good news, when we prayed the other day you asked for a small miracle to help me know that what I am doing is good. And a few days ago, I heard from one of our ladies, that one of her daughters who has started going to Mass again (the first small miracle) saw in the bulletin that we needed to have a person for adoration on at a day and time that was her lunch hour.  So she called the parish office and told the secretary she would do that--put her down for that time.  The Secretary called me so I could get her name on the sheet since I keep that up-to-date.  I can hardly believe it.  I used to call all these things coincidences, but there's been too many to just be coincidence.  I think the Holy Spirit and Mary really are working with us and maybe trying to show me the joy and peace that comes with their help.              ~Jane, prayer group coordinator

Dear MaryAnn,

I love to pray and talk to GOD when I work and would appreciate it if you would keep me in your group...Thank You for the Emails they really do help me see that I am not the only one who is suffering with a son who is away as well as family that are ill......I pray for all those in the group and for whatever they are seeking from GOD I will pray that they will all get answered........Thank You

                       ~Elizabeth

GOD'S WORD FOR US

So we know and believe the love God has for us.

God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God,

and God abides in him.    ~1 John 4:16

WORDS OF HOPE

When some refuse to believe in the truths of religion, one can put the picture of My Broken Heart in their room (dwelling) without their knowledge.  It will bring through the wonder of graces sudden and supernatural conversions."
